A SuperGoal is a high stake, focusing goal for a team. It has a clear and urgent timeframe, an open-ended method of achievement, and a single measure of success that everyone can understand.

WHY IMPORANT

Many single-goal systems focus on “audaciousness” (e.g. “BHAGs”) in a way that acknowledges that a goal will probably never be hit. This is opposite — SuperGoals must be hit, and they require a concrete date by which it must be achieved. In this way, SuperGoals can drive urgency and creativity within a team and offer a single measure of success that everyone can understand.

Signs point to a labor market that is likely to remain tight in the months to come. For employers, that means continued upward pressure on wages, even if the pace is slower than earlier in 2022, more hiring challenges and a stronger likelihood of further interest rate hikes — all factors that could increase costs for businesses.

Cobots provide less risk to human safety than traditional robots and are better suited for environments that require adaptability. They offer flexibility for fluctuating work environments that traditional robots can't match. Deployment for a cobot solution is typically less involved than the traditional robot.

WHY IMPORTANT

collaborative robots continue to attract attention and investment, due to their ease of use, re-deploy ability, and convenience to end-users who struggle to afford more traditional forms of automation.

The most direct benefit of cobots is not in their ability to collaborate with humans,” said Rian Whitton, principal analyst at ABI Research. “Rather, it is in their relative ease of use, improved interface, and the ability of end-users to redeploy them for different tasks.”

Moving to a data-driven business model – where decisions are made based on what we know to be true rather than “gut feeling” – is core to the wave of digital transformation sweeping through every industry in 2023 and beyond. It helps us to react with certainty in the face of uncertainty – especially when wars and pandemics upset the established order of things.

WHY IMPORTANT

In 2023, businesses will understand that data is the key to understanding customers, developing better products and services, and streamlining their internal operations to reduce costs and waste. New technologies are constantly emerging that offer faster and more accurate access to insights. And new trends emerge, bringing us new thinking on the best ways to put it to work across business and society at large. So, here’s my rundown of what I believe are the most important trends that will affect the way we use data and analytics to drive business growth in 2023.
