Building the Network – Low Power Ad Hoc Networking in Challenging Environments – Presented by Dr. Fikadu Dagefu, Tactical Network Assurance Branch, Army Research Laboratory.
This presentation describes recent advances on low power mobile ad-hoc networking in physically complex indoor and dense urban type environments. Specifically, recent developments that enable the use of underutilized channels for more robust communications and networking among autonomous agents with minimal infrastructure requirements will be described.

This presentation describes a network intrusion detection system (NIDS) for detecting breaches prior to reaching the highly-valued targets in Internet of things (IoT) or networked devices. It’s an improvement in detection accuracy and NIDS efficiency and will reduce the burden on the human analysts to sift through NIDS alerts that are often riddled with false alarms.
