NMTC WOW (WINE ON THE WATER) DEPLOYS
(Havre de Grace, MD) Northeastern Maryland Technology Council (NMTC), held its 12th annual Wine On the Water (WOW) wine tasting on September 4, 2019, from 5:30-8:30PM, and raised funds to support regional STEM education and STEM scholarships by entertaining guests with the latest in event technology – a mobile robot photographer and concierge taking and emailing photos while answering questions and polling wine drinkers on their favorite wine.
For the fourth year in a row, the NMTC WOW wine tasting was hosted at the stunning Seaplane Base at La Banque de Fleuve on the Susquehanna River in downtown Havre de Grace. This facility has become the most popular place for weddings and large corporate events in northeastern MD.
With more than 200 registered guests, attendees included Mayor Bill Martin of Havre de Grace, members of the city council, senior leaders from Aberdeen Proving Ground, defense contracting executives, representatives from area technology companies, and other community leaders. All were feted with dozens of wines, many high-quality bourbons, a craft beer, and single malt scotch selections. When not sampling the many beverage selections, a continuous array of both German and French cuisine proved to be a fine compliment. The 13th Annual WOW event is being set for September 16, 2020.
