Game of Drones Workshop Attracts Sold Out Audience

NMTC, in cooperation with SURVICE Engineering, hosted its first TECHCONN3CT workshop on drones, 27 September at Winter’s Run Golf Course.

The Panel discussion centered around the opportunities projected to add $82 billion to our economy in the next decade, learning from sector experts in the military, industry and academia.  Drones, fly into unreachable areas to gather data, and are used in monitoring, delivery, construction, filming, agriculture, inspection, and mapping, creating an $82 billion industry in the US, alone.

The workshop showed how drones will work for you, from the experts already doing this, and afterward:

  1. See military drone prototype quad-copters with payload ranges of 50-300 lbs.
  2. Cheer on an abbreviated drone racing team as they navigate an obstacle course
  3. Take to the skies yourself, with drone flying for those interested

Panelists:

MARK BUTKIEWICZ, MANAGER, SURVICE ENGINEERING. Panel facilitator, and manager of SURVICE Engineering’s Army’s drone quad-copter program.
