September 24, from 5-8PM at the historic Liriodendron Mansion, Bel Air MD, with Lavish cuisine catered by the Laurrapin Grille, over 120 people enjoyed 26 wines to sample.
The NMTC’s annual WOW! fundraiser for STEM education was a 3 hour event and a gathering of a wide cross-section of our community – Defense contractors, educators, business people, wine club enthusiasts, Aberdeen Proving Ground personnel and too many more to mention. It was the organizations first venue of this scale and location; results and attendee comments verified it was a hugh success, and a must to repeat again next year.
Shown here is the featured pour of the evening, our Grand Pour of top wines (sponsored by Adams Communications, Engineering & Technology), expertly descibed and poured by Jim Bishop, owner Jim’s BottleWorks, being enjoyed by (L to R), Bridgette Johnson Harford County OED, Karen Holt Regional BRAC Manager CSSC, Jill McClune VP Federal Contracts & Compliance at Avon Protection (and President, Army Alliance) and Wayne Holt Supervisor of Facilities, Cecil Co. Public Schools.*
More than special thanks to our WOW committee members who worked for months to make this an enjoyable event: Melissa Kuzma (Chair) Sue Manning, Jack Schammel, Randy Rippin, Ginny Walker, Claudine Adams, Donna Mendes and John Casner.
Add to that the NMTC Board, who donated wine for the Board’s Wine Cellar Basket; this year with over $500 of wine. More to come on who won that basket.
